We’ve received a few e-mails from Sydney asking why they’re not on the Choka Block tour itinerary. Well don’t panic people. The Tour Info can only fit the next 20 gigs we’ve got coming up. And because we’re not in Sydney (at the Riverside Theatre as usual) until the 1st and 2nd of October, that show won’t show up on our itinerary yet.

Choka Block DVD to be filmed in Brisbane

Well will be recording the DVD of our Choka Block show at our Brisbane show on Saturday the 26th of June. That way we would have complete control over the footage we record and can release the DVD when we want. The hold up of the release of our Prettyful Woman show DVD until our TV series has gone to air, has taught us that we’re better off recording our own DVDs than to rely on TV footage. While the footage of Prettyful Woman will be of a very high/broadcast standard, we’re now waiting until the powers that be at Television New Zealand confirm the screen dates of our series after which we’ll be able to release the Prettyful Woman DVD.

Guam show confirmed

Our first ever visit to and performance in Guam has been confirmed for The Sheraton Laguna Resort in Tamuning, Guam on Friday the 9th of April. We had no idea we would had a following in Guam but we’re happy that the promoters have come through and are excited about the trip.

Well our tv series is now all edited and done and it’s looking good if we say so ourselves. It is a series of eight half-hour episodes, each one featuring a different city. Six of the episodes were recorded throughout New Zealand with one in Honolulu and another in London. The series will be on TV2 although they’ve yet to confirm the time and dates. We hope to get confirmation soon so we can release our Prettyfull Woman DVD. The series includes footage of our Prettyfull Woman stage show which is why are can’t release the DVD before the show airs.

Prettyfull Woman DVD released in 2010

The DVD of our Prettyfull Woman show will not be released until our tv series has aired in New Zealand. The DVD will feature the show we did at the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre in Manukau, Auckland in early August. It was recorded by Television New Zealand for our television series. We did consider getting someone else to record our Brisbane show (as we did for Off Work and Crack Me Off) which would have allowed us to release the DVD before Christmas, but it would have meant unnecessarily paying for a production that wouldn’t have matched the broadcast quality of the Television New Zealand recording. The only downside of using the TVNZ recording however is that we can’t release the DVD as it would pre-empt the tv show. Television New Zealand plan to air our series in April/May 2010. Here’s hoping it’ll air sooner rather than later.
